Recently, we announced that Champion GSE will design and manufacture items under license from a major turbomachinery manufacturer for its extensive commercial aerospace and aero-derivative engine platforms. While the licensure agreement is new, our partnership with the OEM is one that we’ve been building for quite some time. Not only does the agreement speak to the strength of this relationship, it also reinforces Champion GSE’s legacy of innovation and commitment to the industry’s highest quality standards.
Having already served as a Tier 2 supplier to this OEM, our experience developing and manufacturing multiple stands for their newest engines — such as those used on Boeing 787 and 747-8 aircraft —helped us achieve this important company milestone. Simply put, the agreement allows us to further develop our own product lines and secure Champion GSE’s place as a leading ground support equipment supplier to the global commercial aerospace industry.
Since we first designed hermetically sealed shipping containers for the United States government in World War II, our customers have trusted Champion GSE to secure and transport their critical equipment. In our 60 years of service to commercial and power generation projects, as well as government and military customers, we have engineered and manufactured engine stands and engine containers that consistently meet our clients’ rigorous requirements. Every project we take on — whether it’s an engine stand for an aerospace and aero-derivative turbofan or a custom armament container for the military —undergoes the same turnkey, vertically integrated production processes that ensure the highest quality and the shortest lead times.
Continuing on our history of introducing engine stand innovations, Champion GSE is currently developing a groundbreaking engine stand under this licensure agreement that will revolutionize usability and safety in the field. It’s yet another example of how our design and engineering teams work diligently to uncover opportunities for improvements in existing platforms.
Stay tuned for more information on this exciting product. We will be officially launching it at our press conference on April 8 during the MRO Americas conference.
